I am currently in the process of moving to Hayward (Fairway Park area to be exact), and the house that I am moving to is practically along the border of Union City. I tried to get a detailed crime report of the Fairway Park neighborhood, but had no such luck. A few of my friends have warned me about robberies, burglaries, larceny, car theft, etc. that occurs in the city. I would like to know what is this area really like? what concerns should I have? what is the most common crime in this neighborhood? is it safe? Any answers that you can provide will be a big help.
