This filter is an ec65 Hayward system. I put in the recommended 6 lbs of earth ( per side of filter). This has been going on for the last couple of years. It starts off at 7 lbs of pressure, where it should be, and within minutes goes to 15 lbs or higher. Can’t figure it out.
Don’t know the age, the pump / filter came with house / pool 7 years ago with sale of house. The filter has a drop ring of nylon fingers. The filter uses Earth (calcium) as the additive.
