I have a hayward sand filter. I took the motor inside to the basement, but the filter is too heavy to move. Where should I store it. Can I store it in the shed? What if I get a grill cover and leave it outside? Is that an option?
I called the manufacturer and they actually said I can leave the sand filter outside so long as i drain it and put it in the winter position. they said i should not cover it because that will cause condensation and could lead to rust of internal parts. sunlight does not affect it at all. thanks anyway.
