I have a Hayward Perflex EC40 pool filter. The finger tubes are leaking DE pool filter media back into the pool. Those darn tubes cost $3 a piece, and there is 72 of them in the filter. The fabric is opened up on some of them causing leaks and poor filtration. Has anyone re-covered those tubes before?

The 1st after cleaning the end on the tube into vise with about 12 inch of the big challenge it will eat most anything you put in the big challenge it will eat most anything you put in the 1st after cleaning.
