Hayward
La Vie Boheme asked:

We replaced the sand in our Hayward filter (150 lbs), filled up the pool, got everything hooked up the same way as last year and the pressure gauge arrow shot to the last number on the dial (60). From what I remember, the pressure last year was steady at 20. Any ideas?
When the filter is off, the arrow points to 45…could it be my gauge is faulty?

Sounds like you may have some sort of blockage along the lines.

The case do you have release knob adjacent to expell trapped air.
